Di Paullo e Paulino
Electric Brixton, SW2 1RJ , [Venue Details]Music entered the lives of the miners Di Paullo & Paulino almost by chance. To please their father, who had a collection of musical instruments, the brothers learned to play according to their aptitude and sensitivity.
What started as a game gradually became more and more professional. With the encouragement of their family, they began to perform in the circuses of neighboring towns. Little by little, they were conquering the entire interior of Minas Gerais. Their success was such that between 1973 and 1975 they had already recorded 3 albums, at a time when sertanejo music still faced discrimination. In 1976, during a performance accompanied by their father, upon spotting the train bound for Goiânia, they set off toward the unknown. In the new city, they began performing at agricultural fairs, exhibitions, and variety shows. After the success of a radio appearance, Di Paullo & Paulino earned a fixed spot on the show and even found time to tune the musicians’ instruments.
